System Analyst (Junior/Senior)

We are looking for System Analysts at both Junior and Senior levels to join KPMG’s CIO Advisory team in Astana/Almaty. In this role, you will participate in digital transformation projects for leading organizations across various sectors. You will help clients analyze business needs, design technology-driven solutions, and support the implementation of strategic IT initiatives.

Business Analysis
• Analyze client business processes and identify opportunities for digitalization and optimization.
• Gather, structure, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews with business and technical stakeholders.

Solution Design & Documentation
• Prepare business and technical documentation, including requirements specifications, user stories, process diagrams (BPMN/UML), and functional designs.
• Support the design of digital products, enterprise systems, and technology solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and project teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.

Project Delivery
• Support project teams during analysis, planning, implementation, and testing phases.
• Participate in solution validation, user acceptance testing, and change management activities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of IT transformation and system implementation projects.

Research & Stakeholder Management
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and KPI analysis to support client decision-making.
• Prepare presentations and communicate project findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

For Junior Candidates
• 1+ year of experience in IT, business analysis, system analysis, software development, or related fields.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture or IT service management frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, or Zachman.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
• English proficiency sufficient for working in an international environment.

For Senior Candidates
• 3+ years of experience in system analysis, business analysis, or IT consulting.
• Proven experience creating business and technical documentation, including user stories, use cases, BPMN/UML diagrams, wireframes, and functional specifications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and data flows in complex IT environments.
• Experience eliciting, validating, prioritizing, and managing requirements throughout project lifecycles.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, or Zachman.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and analytics tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and business process optimization.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL 4, Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, CCNA, or HCIA.
• Previous experience in consulting, banking, telecommunications, or large enterprise environments.
