We’re currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Strategy & Operations team in Astana. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with top-tier clients, lead diverse projects, and develop strategic insights across industries. Responsibilities


  • Assist in delivering complex engagements, taking charge of specific workstreams and ensuring alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Lead or support hypothesis generation, data analysis, storyboarding, client interviews, and problem-solving to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with local and global KPMG advisory teams to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Manage, inspire, and guide team members, contributing to capacity building and recruitment efforts.
  • Structure case problem-solving, assign tasks, and evaluate team performance.
  • Leverage global expertise to strengthen local project management, strategy implementation, and transport and logistics capabilities.


Requirements


  • Have a minimum of 3 yearsof experience in a client-facing strategy role within the transport and logistics sector, major strategy firms, boutique strategy firms, Big 3/4 firms, or state, quasi-state, or private companies; 5+ years of relevant experience is a strong asset.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university in Economics, Finance, Transportation, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrate experience in the transportation sector, including operators (airlines, shipping lines, logistics, railways, etc.), infrastructure management (airports, ports, roads, rail), or service providers.
  • Have proven expertise in advising on strategic matters, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Are fluent in Russian and English, both verbally and in writing, with additional languages being a plus.
  • Bring experience in corporate development, financial modeling, data analytics, and the ability to develop transport models or forecasts (an advantage).
  • Possess strong presentation, data analytics, and client-focused skills, with a proactive, team-oriented mindset, capable of multitasking and adapting to changing project needs.
  • Are available for travel.
