KPMG is seeking a motivated Junior Consultant (Credit Risk) to join our Financial Risk Management team in the Consulting Department.
In this role, you will contribute to credit risk assessment, model validation, and risk management projects for banks and financial institutions. You will work closely with experienced consultants to analyze data, assess regulatory compliance, and support the development of risk strategies and methodologies. Responsibilities

  • Participate in the assessment, development, and validation of credit risk models, including ECL, scoring, and collection models.
  • Perform credit risk assessments, support audit activities, and evaluate controls.
  • Prepare analytical and validation reports, providing recommendations to improve models.
  • Support the development of risk strategies, frameworks, and regulatory compliance assessments (Basel, IFRS).
  • Conduct macro- and microeconomic analyses and contribute to liquidity and ALM risk methodologies.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Prepare presentations and materials to communicate project results to clients.

 

Requirements

  • Hold a university degree, preferably in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Physics.
  • Have experience working with large datasets, statistical or econometric models, and data analysis.
  • Are familiar with banking or consulting, risk management, internal audit, or regulatory requirements (Basel, IFRS 9).
  • Understand credit risk assessment principles, expected credit loss calculations, and model validation techniques.
  • Have a basic knowledge of liquidity, ALM, or financial risk methodologies.
  • Are proficient in English.
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new methodologies and tools.
