Are you ready to shape the future of data governance in a fast-evolving market? We are seeking a Data Governance Manager to join our team in Baku, where you'll lead enterprise data management initiatives and help clients build trust in their data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead data governance (DG) and enterprise data management (EDM) transformation projects, including the design and implementation of DG frameworks and policies.
  • Define DG requirements, select and implement market-leading tools (e.g., Informatica, Ataccama), and establish business glossaries and domain structures.
  • Assess data governance maturity using models such as CMMI DMM, KPMG ADM, and develop actionable roadmaps.
  • Conduct data quality assessments, including profiling, rule definition, and score measurement.
  • Manage client communications, workshops, and stakeholder alignment to ensure project success and business value delivery.
  • Supervise project execution, team coordination, deliverables quality, and risk/budget tracking.
  • Support business development by preparing proposals, pitching services to clients, and identifying new growth opportunities for the DG practice.

Requirements

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field
  • Have at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Data Management (EDM), including data governance, data quality, and metadata management
  • Possess proven expertise in designing and implementing DG frameworks and EDM solutions, with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving abilities, and the ability to lead teams and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • Have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in managing client-facing engagements
  • Are proficient in SQL, Power BI or other BI tools is a plus
  • Communicate fluently in English and Azerbaijani / Turkish / Russian
