We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join KPMG's CIO Advisory team in Astana or Almaty. In this role, you will participate in digital transformation projects for leading organizations across various industries. You will help clients analyze business needs, design technology-driven solutions, and support the implementation of strategic IT initiatives while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for digitalization and optimization.
  • Gather, document, and manage business, functional, and system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare business and technical documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, use cases, BPMN/UML diagrams, process flows, and solution designs.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and project teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
  • Support solution validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation activities.
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and KPI analysis to support client decision-making.
  • Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in system analysis, business analysis, or IT consulting.
  • Possess strong experience in gathering, documenting, validating, and managing business and system requirements.
  • Have hands-on experience preparing business and technical documentation, including user stories, use cases, BPMN/UML diagrams, wireframes, and functional specifications.
  • Have a solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Are familiar with APIs, system integrations, and data flows in enterprise environments.
  • Have knowledge of enterprise architecture or IT service management frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, or Zachman.
  • Are proficient in SQL and have experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, or Python).
  • Possess excellent analytical, documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Have strong written and spoken English for working in an international environment.

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and business process optimization.
  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL 4, Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, CCNA, or HCIA.
  • Previous experience in consulting, banking, telecommunications, or other large enterprise environments.
