We're currently seeking an Actuary to join our Financial Risk Managementteam in Almaty/Astana, who is eager to expand their knowledge and expertise in the field. In this dynamic role, you’ll leverage your expertise to consult on IFRS17 projects, audit actuarial calculations as required by the standard, advise on security issues for the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and assist with actuarial matters.

Responsibilities

As our Actuary you will:

  • Consult and participate in projects on IFRS17
  • Audit actuarial calculations as required by the standard
  • Advise on security issues of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Agency on issues related to actuarial calculations

Requirements

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a leading university in Kazakhstan or abroad (preferably in the field of Actuarial calculations, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance)
  • Have experience in the actuarial field (calculation of reserves, calculation of insurance rates) - 1-5 years
  • Experience in consulting or auditing actuarial services is an advantage
  • Kazakh actuarial license is welcome
  • Applied mathematical and statistical methods to business problems
  • Managed junior staff and building relationships with clients
